Cloudpiler: Native American Healer Merges Traditional Medicine ...

BOULDER, Colo./EWORLDWIRE/Feb. 26, 2007 --- In his private practice and through his radio program, Native Health Radio, Native American healer and naturopath Cloudpiler teaches people from all walks of life and lifestyles how to successfully defend the immune system with food and herbal remedies while also relying on the wisdom of past generations to bring America's health into balance.

Cloudpiler explains how a key element of traditional wisdom - the native American medicine wheel - teaches people to cultivate a reverent experience of life while taking the necessary steps to create more meaning, contentment and connection. By taking responsibility for personal health and family health, one builds the resiliency and optimism essential to long-term health and a strong immune system response.

It’s back to the drawing board for Holiday Inn

Building a Holiday Inn on Big Bear Boulevard won't happen anytime soon, if at all. Big Bear Lake Planning Commissioners put the brakes on Art Menaldi's plans for a hotel, sporting goods store, fast food restaurant and ATM kiosk. They gave him time to revise the plans, because as presented, the commissioners weren't headed toward approval.

Menaldi and his team of architects, landscapers and arborists appeared before the Planning Commission Feb. 21 looking for approval to build on a 2.84 acre parcel on Big Bear Boulevard. The site is adjacent to Butcher's Block Building Materials between that business and a mobile home park on the west. The site is street to street, from Big Bear Boulevard to Park Avenue on the north.

Menaldi's plans called for a Holiday Inn, a Big 5 Sporting Goods Store, a Popeye's Chicken fast-food restaurant and a Bank of America ATM kiosk to be built on the site.

Busy Billy Costa brings 'Recipe for Success' to Cape

There's an old saying, ''If you want something done, ask the busiest person you know, because that person will deliver.'' That adage is certainly true of Billy Costa, host of NECN's ''TV Diner'' and the news and entertainment director and reporter of KISS 108 FM's ''Matty in the Morning'' show.

French club fricassee up a good time for Cajun celebration

The New Orleans Mardi Gras festival is often regarded as one of the greatest free shows on earth. Streets in New Orleans on this festive day are always filled with people throwing beads, eating the local cuisine, and simply enjoying the day. Trying to focus this nationally-known celebration into a more local perspective, Wests French Club held a Mardi Gras celebration of their own. This cultural experience was opened up to all students and staff members in the school.

I loved it! exclaimed sophomore Stephanie Begley.

Similar sentiments were apparent throughout the entire W-Wing on February 21 when the festival was held. Though not as grand as the New Orleans celebration, the French Club still put on quite a show.

In the French Club, we have many French-culture enthusiasts and talented cooks, said advisor and teacher Kate Robinson.
